Proudly Joining Fellowship19 Community to Help Fellow Greek Tech Companies Through COVID-19 Challenges

During this challenging global period, we are reminded to return back to our roots to support and contribute however we can. For our team here at Transifex, this means returning back to – and giving back through ­– two key areas of our origins.

One being our remaining committed to the mission that drove us forward from our founding over a decade ago: to break down language barriers by making localization accessible to everyone. And the other being our dedication to the tech and startup communities – across two homes, Silicon Valley and Greece – to which we belong.

Last week, we announced our joining the Open For Business Hub (alongside Google Cloud, Microsoft Teams, Cloudflare, GoToMeeting, and many others) to enable remote work during this period by offering our localization Starter Plan for free for 3 months to COVID-related projects and SMBs across the globe.

This week, we proudly join forces with other Greek startups in the Fellowship19 program, launched by Greek entrepreneurs with the motto “Tech is Our Family.” The Fellowship19 program was launched promptly earlier this month, in response to the impact of COVID on Greece and the world: “Fellowship19 is an open community of tech professionals that offer their help for free to support tech companies of all sizes stay afloat during the global crisis we are experiencing.” And as the founder of Fellowship19 explained well, “Too many jobs, right now, are at risk as many small companies are unable to manage the crisis and catch their goals. The whole market is collapsing, and we thought we could at least help the community that we feel like our family, technology.”

We strongly stand behind their mission of “supporting technology companies that are facing problems in managing this unprecedented global crisis.” Here’s a bit more background on how the program works: the program sources and lists vetted experts across different industries and domains to accept questions from companies in need of help, and reply back with guidance and answers in the form of detailed videos that contain actionable tips and valuable advice.

In joining Fellowship19, we will be dedicating both our platform and our team’s time to help companies requesting help from Fellowship19. We look forward to standing alongside our fellow Greek startups and to contribute to our Greek tech ecosystem home.
