Update: In addition to the information provided below about our partnership with WPML, you can view a recorded version of our webinar on taking your WordPress website global by clicking here.

Transifex is committed to making it possible for all businesses to translate their WordPress websites to deliver high quality multilingual experiences to global audiences. Now we’re announcing an expansion of our current offerings for WordPress — a new integration with WPML, one of the most popular WordPress translation plugins on the web.

The Transifex-WPML integration allows current WPML users to easily use Transifex to support their translation activities. Through the WPML interface, users can push content from WordPress to Transifex and work with their translation agency. In Transifex, translators can leverage all the functionality of the Transifex platform including features like Translation Memory and glossaries. For WordPress site owners working with a translation agency that prefers to use XLIFF files for translation, Transifex provides the option of downloading XLIFF files for translation. And thanks to the integration, translations can be automatically delivered back to WordPress regardless of how translations are completed.

The WPML integration complements our existing Transifex Live Translation Plugin, which is a JavaScript-enabled translation solution for WordPress sites. Now we provide a choice for WordPress site owners no matter whether they prefer to use WordPress with WPML and Transifex, or if the right WordPress solution is Transifex Live and the Transifex translation plugin.

For WordPress site owners interested in learning more about how to implement a multilingual site, Transifex is sponsoring a joint webinar with WPML. Join speaker Amit Kvint, WPML Compatibility Team Leader, on Wednesday, July 12 at 9 am PDT, 12 pm EDT, and 6 pm CEST. Interested participants can register here to attend the in-depth online discussion.
